Please join us for our Annual General Meeting taking place June 23rd at the Gas Lamp Grille (206 Thames St, Newport, RI 02840) in Newport at 6PM.
At the meeting we will review the past season and look ahead to the future. It is a great opportunity to meet the board members and give input on what you like and don’t like about Whalers Hockey. All food and beverage will be covered by NCYHA.
We are planning to use the outside seating area at the Gas Lamp but if weather forces us inside, we will still hold the meeting. I will keep a close eye on the forecast and send a note out on Monday the 21st if it looks like we will need to move inside.
As always, Newport County Youth Hockey will comply rigidly with the Covid protocols put in place by the State of Rhode Island.
Registration for the 2021/2022 Travel program is now closed. If you wish to participate on one of our travel teams please contact Christina Wilkes ASAP at NCYHARegistrar@gmail.com.
Registration for House League, Mite Development Program and Learn To Skate will be available in September
Groups for Squirt, Peewee and Bantam will be assigned after the first session.
Players should attend with their 2021/2022 age group:
Goalies MUST attend all applicable ice sessions
The Newport Whalers were chosen as one of a very small number of programs to participate in the Boston Bruins and TD Bank PASS Program this year. The PASS (Partnership to Assist Skaters & Shooters) aims to help develop skills and provide opportunities for hockey players in the region at the Squirt and PeeWee level. With this program, we received the opportunity to host a skills clinic for 50 Pee Wee and Squirt aged players on January 27 featuring Boston Bruins alumni Bill Bennett and Tom Songis, a donation to our program, and 100 tickets to the Bruins game against the LA Kings on December 17th.
