The Newport Whalers are excited to continue the great tradition of supporting the Newport Gulls Group Volunteer Program. This program is a great opportunity to promote our organization while raising the funds necessary to support our entire hockey season...

Hopefully you saved the date, but here's a reminder that our scheduled "Whalers Family Night" game is next Sunday, July 28th at Cardines Field. It's a great event for families, friends and a hard throwing baseball game , but we'll need some volunteers to make it a successful night. Attached is a sign up genius for everyone that can help keep things running smoothly...

• The Gulls require that we have a minimum of 12 volunteers for the game.
• Your main responsibility of the night is to cover our main gates of egress.
• 2nd inning will begin the 50/50 raffle which is our opportunity to raise funds.
• 50% of the raffle dollars raised will go to the Newport Whalers and the other 50% will be awarded to the winner of the raffle.
• Volunteers to work the Whalers Swag table ( we'll have it all set up beforehand )

There's food and soft drinks available throughout the game and you can park in the Public Parking Garage located between the Marriott Hotel and the Visitors Center across from Cardines Field.

If you volunteer , the attendant will be notified that you will be part of the Gulls volunteer staff for the night.

GROUP VOLUNTEER TIMELINE ( Flexible for those that have time conflicts )

4:30 PM: Arrive at Cardines- Meet at the Ticket Booth

4:45 PM: Introduction and Overview of Responsibilities

5:00 PM: Gates Open

6:35 PM: Game Begins

• 2nd Inning: Start of 50/50 Raffle
• 7th Inning: Completion of 50/50 Raffle

Approx. 9:00-10:00PM End of Game

Attention Whalers Parents:
We have some enhancements and a new process for Game Uniforms this season. Even if your player already has their Game and Practice gear, please read this memo for some new information. As part of the improvements, Whalers Families can now access a TEAM STORE for ordering all kinds of Whalers
Branded gear, clothing, and swag. Please see the information and instructions below for the ordering
process.

** THE TEAM STORE ORDERS ARE PLACED IN BULK SO THE TEAM STORE WILL ONLY BE OPEN UNTIL
MAY 12 TH AT MIDNIGHT. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR ORDERS ON OR BEFORE THE MAY 12 TH DEADLINE! **

Please follow the instructions on the website. For returning players, who need a new jersey, please enter your players existing Jersey Number. For new Players, please choose number which matches your players birth year. Even numbers for player born on an even number birth year and odd number for players born in an odd number birth year. We are moving to a Reversible setup for both Game Jerseys and Socks so you will only need to place an order for Qty of (1) and your player will get both the Green
and White Version with the single jersey and sock. This will lower the cost for parents only having to buy one jersey and should make life a little easier only needing to bring 1 jersey to the rink on game days but still having the home and away option.
Hockey Pant Shells – for 24/25 Season, starting at the Mite Level, we are making the Hockey Shells a part of the mandatory uniform kit. For all other ages, the shells are not mandatory but since most
players have black hockey pants which are not part of our colors, we strongly encourage your player to purchase a pair of Hockey Pant Shells to complete the Whalers look on game days.
Practice Jerseys and Socks- If your player is new to the Whalers Travel Team organization, a set of practice socks and a practice jersey is included in your initial registration. If you are a returning player and you need a replacement practice jersey and/or socks, please email the Newport Whalers Equipment

While you are on the Team Store, please feel free to order any other Whalers branded clothing as part of your order and it will be processed in bulk with the remainder of the Team Store Purchases.
