TRAVEL TO NANTUCKET
IMPORTANT: The boat lines designate a specific number of seats for team travel so it is very important to make reservations ASAP to secure your team's travel plans.
Hy-line
Reservations for players/coaches on the Hy-line can be made by calling Dee Forand in Group Sales at 508-778-2688 or email Dee at dforand@hylinecruises.com.
Dee will require the number of players/coaches traveling and will make the reservation accordingly. Parents/siblings travelling with the team can travel at a reduced rate and make their own reservations by calling 800-492-8082. You must identify the team you are travelling with to receive the reduced rate (rates shown below). Parents must make their reservation after the team reservation has been made. The Hy-line would like team reservations made two weeks in advance, if possible.
Hy-line Rates
$15 round trip for players/coaches
$54 round trip for parents
$36.50 round trip for siblings (ages 5-12; under 5 free--children travelling free still need reservation)

Steamship Reservations on the Steamship can be made by calling Pat in Group Sales at 508-548-5011 x244. Pat will require the number of players/coaches travelling, the number of parents travelling, and the number of siblings travelling. The cost is as follows:
Steamship Rates
$15 round trip for players/coaches
$48 round trip for parents
$23.50 for siblings (ages 5-12; under 5 free--children travelling free still need reservation)
The Steamship requires a minimum of 10 parents/siblings travelling to receive the parent/sibling reduced rate. It does not matter the make up of the 10 (example, it can be 5 parents/5 siblings, or any other combination as long as the reservation is for at least 10 parents/siblings). There is no requirement for the number of players/coaches travelling to receive the player/coach reduced rate.
The Steamship schedule is as follows:
Departure times from Hyannis:
8:00am
11:00am
1:55pm and 430pm
Departure times from Nantucket:
9:30am
12:30pm
3:15pm
6:00pm
The Steamship fastboat runs through January 2nd and does not resume service until mid-April. Therefore, travel to Nantucket after January 2nd must be booked on the Hy-line.
Games on Nantucket are scheduled around the boat schedule. It is best to book reservations to and from Nantucket on the same boat line. However, if your reservation is booked on the Hy-line one way and the Steamship the other way, the Steamship will allow the one-way group rate ($6 for players/coaches; $23 for parents; and $11.75 for siblings 5-12). The Hy-line will ONLY allow players/coaches to pay 1/2 of the one-way reduced rate.
They will NOT allow the reduced rate for one-way travel for parents and siblings. However, the Hy-line sells commuter books (10 tickets per book) for $269, which would be $26.90 per ticket, so the group could purchase a commuter book.
Nantucket Youth Hockey will provide transportation for the teams and their bags to and from the boat/rink. This usually includes the families traveling with the players - or taxis can be called.

It's best for your team parent to touch base with the Nantucket Travel Coordinator before making team reservations. They are always very welcoming and accommodating and it's a very fun day on beautiful Nantucket. They even give our kids snack and/ or lunch. Enjoy your day on Nantucket.
