*Mite Travel, Squirt, PeeWee, Bantam, and Midget Travel League fees above include the $200 season deposit collected at tryouts.  Travel goalies pay 50% of the above posted rates.

NCYHA Refund Policy

To field competitive travel teams, a house league and programs to effectively teach and develop young skaters, NCYHA commits in advance of each season to a wide range of binding fees and contracts. To ensure the organization’s ability to meet those obligations and its ability to maintain rosters that comply with league rules, all program tryout and registration fees are considered non-refundable. 

Only in truly exceptional, unavoidable circumstances — i.e., a military family with orders that require relocation mid-season — will exceptions to this policy be made. Most injuries will not qualify a skater for a refund. Occasional exceptions may be granted for season-ending injuries that occur in the initial month after a season’s start, with written verification from a physician required. 

In all cases, issuing a refund requires a vote of approval from the NCYHA Board of Directors. 

Per the terms of the NCYHA travel team tryout policy, deposit refunds will be issued to any player not placed
on a team following tryouts. However, players who choose not to play for their assigned team will forfeit their deposit.

A limited amount of financial aid is available to Newport Hockey families. Both full and partial financial awards are available.

DEADLINE: Applications must be submitted by September 1 for travel players and October 1 for Learn to Skate, MDP, and House League.
